How to Fix Google’s Scan-to-Email Interruption
Earlier this year, Google rolled out Integrated Gmail which integrates email, direct messages, spaces, and video or audio meetings in a single space.
This change requires Gmail account users, when scanning to email, to use a Google app password. Without the Google app password, it is possible that your printer won’t send emails, which may lead you to believe that there is an issue with the printer. This is simply not the case!
The reason for the error is because Google will no longer support the use of third-party apps or devices to sign into your Google account using only your username and password.
We understand that many Toshiba clients rely on the Gmail platform daily and may have found Google’s update interfering with their business workflows. If the scan-to-email feature on your Toshiba device is being interrupted due to this update, we can help.
